Welcome!
I am delighted that you are interested in requesting a custom work of art from me. Please be sure to follow along on my social media (links at the bottom of this page) to be notified right away when I open my books.
Even if my books are currently closed, I would still love to hear from you.
My waitlist is always open!
How Does This Work?

1. If you're looking for more information on what I offer, select the "Commission Options" button below to view my pricing information page and see a few examples of the types of projects I can complete for you. This page offers extensive details on the size, scope, and starting price for my most commonly requested commissions.
You can also check out my Recent Commissions page or any of the gallery links at left to get more ideas on the types of artwork that I can create for you.
(I am always happy to answer questions or consider a unique commission request!)
2. Once you know what you might like to request, please review "The Fine Print" section at the bottom of this page for all the nitty-gritty details!

3. Once you've reviewed all the fine print, if everything sounds good, select the "Request a Commission" button below to send me a message with a brief description of what you would like to request for your custom artwork.
That's it! Once I receive your request, I will follow up with you (typically within 1-2 business days) to discuss next steps and get you an official quote before work begins.
How Long Does This Usually Take?
Once I start work on your project, my typical turnaround time is between 6-8 weeks for most artwork (8-12 weeks for especially large or complex artwork).
If you have a specific deadline that needs to be met, let me know!
Very tight turnarounds (4-6 weeks or less, depending on the size/complexity of the artwork) are possible, but there may be an additional rush charge (starting at $50+) to meet an especially tight deadline.

The Fine Print
By requesting a commission, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. The artist retains the final say in all creative decisions.
My work is not typically hyperrealistic; most of my artwork follows an illustrative/expressionist style and may include some abstract elements. I highly encourage you to review my portfolio (links at left) to see if my style is a good fit for your needs!
2.  I do not currently offer human portraits.
If you are interested in a portrait of your favorite human, I would be happy to refer you to a portrait artist in my network that can meet your needs!

3.  Framing
All artwork is unframed unless otherwise specified by the artist. Framing service may be available by request for an additional charge, determined by the artist.

4. Revisions
I may send up to one initial pencil sketch before beginning work on your commission (depending on the complexity of the project, this step may not be necessary). If an initial pencil sketch is offered, revisions can be discussed upon review of the sketch, and up to one additional pencil sketch with revisions may be offered.
Once the final pencil sketch is approved, no further revisions of any kind will be accepted.

5. Deadlines
If artwork is required by a specific date, that must be discussed in advance and approved by the artist; otherwise, clients can typically expect their work to be completed within 6-8 weeks (once the artist confirms that work on the final product has begun). I will make every effort to inform you of any unavoidable delays that would push completion beyond the 6-8 week mark.
Please note that the 6-8 week turnaround time does not account for any delay in client communications during the planning/revision stage.

6. Shipping Expectations
USPS domestic standard shipping (typically USPS Ground Advantage) for your artwork is free unless otherwise specified by the artist; expedited/upgraded shipping may be available by request at an additional cost as determined by the artist.

7. Payment Expectations
Payment may be completed by Venmo, Cash App, or by credit card via custom Square listing (by request only). **No personal checks accepted** except by prior approval.
Payment must be provided in full before work begins unless other arrangements are approved by the artist (split deposit options available by request).
All invoices are payable within 30 days of receipt. The client shall assume responsibility for all collection of legal fees necessitated by default in payment.

8. Refunds
Absolutely no refunds for any reason once work on your commission is underway (unless otherwise approved by the artist). Once artwork is turned over to a shipping service for delivery, the artist is released from responsibility for any damage that may occur in transit; no refunds will be issued for artwork damaged in transit.

9. Image Rights
Artist retains exclusive rights to all images that are created as a result of commission requests. This includes the rights to monetize, reproduce, and merchandise all images created on commission. Images may be posted on the artist's social media or used in marketing materials without limit once the final product has been received by the client.
(If your commission is a gift or if you would prefer that it remain private for any other reason, please let me know in advance; I am always happy to discuss that option!)
Clients may neither sell nor exchange the artist's original work in any form, physical or digital, print or NFT, under any circumstances without the express written permission of the artist. Clients may not use the artist's original work in any published material, including free materials, in any online or physical marketplace without the express written permission of the artist.
